Boat blockades move away from Rosslare and Waterford ports
Fishing boats which were blockading Rosslare and Waterford ports this morning are now moving away.
The fishermen were protesting over their entitlements to fish scallops in the area since the introduction of new EU restrictions.
Talks have being held between the South East Fishermen's Organisation and Junior Minister at the Department of Agriculture John Brown and the fishermen have agreed to cease the protest for 24 hours.
It is believed that further talks will be held tomorrow.
Michael Walsh, Harbour Master at Waterford Port and Chairman of the South East Fishermen's Organisation said this afternoon that the problems have not yet been solved.
