Two tourists missing off Galway coast

Two English tourists have gone missing while swimming off the coast of Co Galway.

The man and the woman are believed to be part of a group of four who were renting a cottage in the area.

They got into difficulty and were reported missing by two German tourists at 7am today.

A spokesperson for the Clifden Lifeboat said two lifeboats, a helicopter and fishing boat are involved in the search.
