Ray Burke to be freed from prison next Tuesday
Former government minister Ray Burke is reportedly due to be released from prison on Tuesday after four months behind bars.
The former Fianna Fáil politician was sentenced to six months in January, but reports this morning said he was getting out early after receiving full remission for good behaviour.
Burke was jailed after pleading guilty to making false tax declarations in 1993.
This morning's reports said he could face further investigation for allegedly obstructing the planning tribunal, which has conducted an extensive investigation of his affairs.
