Man’s body found in car park of Ballaghadereen Cathedral

Gardaí in Co Roscommon are investigating the circumstances surrounding the death of a 42-year-old man, whose body was found in Ballaghadereen this morning.

The man was found dead in the car park of the local cathedral shortly after 7.30am.

He had suffered serious head injuries and is not believed to be from the area.

The scene of the discovery has been sealed off pending technical examination and a post mortem is due to be carried out later today.
