Final stage of M50 to open at end of month
The final stage of Dublin's M50 motorway is reportedly due to open to traffic at the end of this month after years of legal wrangling.
Reports this morning said Environment Minister Martin Cullen would officially open the road on June 30, two years behind its original schedule.
The road has been delayed due to protests and court cases relating to Carrickmines Castle, the ruins of which have been partially destroyed to make way for the motorway.
