Teen in hospital after Meath stabbing

An 18-year-old is in hospital this morning after being stabbed in Co Meath overnight.

An 18-year-old is in hospital this morning after being stabbed in Co Meath overnight.

The assault occurred in the Boyne view - Johnstown Wood area of Navan at around 4am.

The victim was initially taken to Our Lady's hospital in Navan, but was later transferred to the Mater hospital in Dublin, where his condition is described as stable.

A 17-year-old man has been arrested in connection with the incident and is being held at Navan garda station, under Section 4 of the Criminal Justice Act.
