Bus Éireann staff to hold minute’s silence for crash victims

Staff at Bus Éireann are due to hold a one-minute silence at noon today to remember the five teenage schoolgirls who died in Monday's school bus tragedy in Co Meath.

Hundreds of the company's vehicles will pull up at the side of the road at 12pm as a mark of respect to the victims.

CIE chairman John Lynch is also due to attend the funerals of four of the five girls in Co Meath today.

The teenagers died when the bus bringing them home from school in Navan overturned onto its side near Kentstown on Monday afternoon during an accident involving two other vehicles.
