Woman falsely imprisoned for IRA attack gets papal honour

A great-grandmother who was wrongly imprisoned for nine years after two IRA bomb attacks is to receive a papal honour.

Annie Maguire was awarded the holy medal by Pope John Paul II just three days before his death in April.

She will receive it at a church in London this morning.

Ms Maguire was jailed in 1976, along with five members of her family, after being wrongly convicted of running an IRA bomb factory from her home.
