Forty jobs to go at Jacobs factory in Tallaght

Forty jobs are to go at the Jacobs Biscuit factory on the Belgard Road in Tallaght, Co Dublin.

The company says it hopes they will come on a voluntary basis and have begun discussions with unions over redundancy terms.

The lay-offs are being blamed on a restructuring programme.
