Independent security audit to be conducted at Dublin Airport
The Dublin Airport Authority (DAA) has announced that an independent audit of its security arrangements will be carried in the next three weeks.
The audit follows breaches uncovered by EU inspectors a number of weeks ago.
The inspectors managed to smuggle knives and a replica bomb through security checks at the airport.
The DAA boosted security in response to the breaches, causing huge delays for thousands of passengers.
