Man killed in shooting in Dublin’s north inner city

A man has died after being shot in the head in a gangland-style attack near the Mater Hospital in Dublin's north inner city this morning.

The victim is believed to be a well-known criminal in his 20s who had just been released from nearby Mountjoy Prison on compassionate leave.
