Weekly earnings in public sector up 10% last year

Average weekly earnings in the public sector (excluding the health service) increased by almost 10% last year, according to figures published today by the Central Statistics Office.

The CSO said public sector workers saw their weekly earnings increase by 9.5% in the year between December 2003 and December 2004.
