Irish victim of Asian tsunami disaster to be buried today

A 28-year-old Irish woman who died in the Asian tsunami disaster is due to be laid to rest today.

Lucy Coyle, from Killiney in Dublin, will be buried at Shangangh Cemetery following mass in Donnybrook this morning.

Ms Coyle's body was identified last week through DNA and dental records brought to Thailand by gardaí.

She had been holidaying on the Thai island of Phi Phi when the devastating tsunami struck on December 26, killing more than 250,000 people in around a dozen countries.

Ms Coyle is the third Irish person confirmed dead following the disaster.

A fourth person, 23-year-old Michael Murphy from Ballyconnigar in Co Wexford, remains unaccounted for.
