A date has been set for the trial of a 20-year-old Cork student charged with the murder of Midleton schoolboy Robert Holohan (aged 11), today at the Central Criminal Court.
Mr Wayne O'Donoghue (aged 20) of Ballyedmond, Midleton, is charged with the murder of Robert Holohan at Ballyedmond, Midleton on January 4, 2004.
Mr Justice Paul Carney set October 18 next for the trial of Mr O’Donoghue at the Central Criminal Court sitting in Cork.
Defence barrister, Mr Patrick MacEntee SC told the court that neither the prosecution or the defence had seen any papers in relation to the case to which Judge Carney said the book of evidence is a "very slim volume".
