The number of BSE cases being detected in Ireland is continuing to decline rapidly, according to figures released today by the Department of Agriculture.

The number of BSE cases being detected in Ireland is continuing to decline rapidly, according to figures released today by the Department of Agriculture.

The department said just one case of the illness was discovered in a 10-year-old diary cow in Co Monaghan this week.
