NI public service union to vote on strike action

Northern Ireland’s largest public service union is balloting more than 5,000 of its members employed in the education and library sector on strike action, it announced today.

Ballot papers will start arriving in today’s post and if there is a positive vote for industrial action NIPSA, along with other non-teaching unions, will be calling its members out on strike on May 13.

The action is in protest against cutbacks in the North's education sector.
