Suspected human hand found in drain

Gardaí in Limerick are investigating the discovery of what appears to be a severed arm and hand in the city this morning.

The suspected human body part was found by workers cleaning out a drain in a housing estate in the Rhebogue area.

It was spotted on cameras being used to examine the drain.

Gardaí were immediately alerted and the area was sealed off as attempts are made to recover the arm, which is around nine feet underground.
