A school was left shattered today after a boy died when he was knocked off his mini-motorcycle in Co Fermanagh.

A school was left shattered today after a boy died when he was knocked off his mini-motorcycle in Co Fermanagh.

Robert Corry, 12, was a pupil at St Mary’s College, Irvinestown.

Headmaster Eugene McCullough, who conducted a special assembly, said: “Everybody is devastated. The pupils just can’t believe it. He was a lovely young fella, well thought of by all the staff.

“It’s heartbreaking.”

Robert was riding his mini-motorcycle last night when it was in collision with a 4x4 vehicle outside the village of Ederney, not far from where he lived at Drumskinney, Kesh.

A boy who was on the back at the time and the car driver were not injured.
