Two hundred and sixty-four patients were waiting on trolleys in accident and emergency departments this morning, according to the Irish Nurses Organisation.

Two hundred and sixty-four patients were waiting on trolleys in accident and emergency departments this morning, according to the Irish Nurses Organisation.

The INO said more than half of these patients were in the Dublin area, with Beaumont, Tallaght and Mater the worst-affected hospitals.
