A man has been remanded by Mr Justice Paul Carney at the Central Criminal Court for sentence on June 20 for raping three women in Dublin last year.

A man has been remanded by Mr Justice Paul Carney at the Central Criminal Court for sentence on June 20 for raping three women in Dublin last year.

Salman Dar (aged 23), who is from Pakistan but has an address at Abbey View, Ballyhaunis, Co Mayo, pleaded guilty to raping the women on dates in February, April and June 2004 at three locations in Dublin city.

The first rape happened on February 7 at the carpark of the Local Government Computer Services Board at Conyngham Road, near the Phoenix Park; the second crime was at Redmill Apartments, Brunswick Street North, in the Smithfield Markets area, on April 18; and the third rape on June 6, 2004 at Jervis Street.

Evidence of the crimes will be given at the sentence hearing for which Mr Justice Carney directed the preparation of victim impact statements.
