Man arrested after 10-hour stand-off at house in Kildare

Gardaí have arrested a man in his 40s following a 10-hour overnight stand-off at a house in the Curragh area of Co Kildare.

Details of the incident are unclear, but reports this morning said he barricaded himself in his home when gardaí were conducting a search of the property.
