Two companies to create 420 new jobs in north-west

A telecoms company and a computer software firm have announced plans to create more than 420 new jobs in the north-west in the coming years.

Toucan Telecom said it was planning to create 300 positions at a new customer service centre in Sligo, while the software firm SITA said it was planning to hire 123 new workers in Letterkenny, Co Donegal.

Enterprise Minister Micheál Martin has welcomed the announcements, which follow a spate of job losses in the north-west in recent years.
