Gardaí in Dublin are investigating a suspected overnight arson attack that destroyed seven buses belonging to a private operator.

The vehicles were destroyed in a fire at the Eirebus depot in the Blanchardstown area of the city shortly after 3am.

Nobody was injured in the blaze.

Eirebus has a fleet of around 40 buses based at the Corduff Road depot.
