Dublin is fast becoming one of the most expensive cities in the world, according to the latest cost of living survey by the Economist Intelligence Unit.

Dublin is fast becoming one of the most expensive cities in the world, according to the latest cost of living survey by the Economist Intelligence Unit (EIU).

Dublin has been ranked as the 21st most expensive city, up from 25th in a similar survey a year ago.

According to the EIU, Ireland's capital city is more expensive than New York, which was ranked 23rd.

Tokyo was identified as the most expensive city in the world, followed by Osaka Kobe, Oslo, Paris, Copenhagen and Zurich.
