Health budget 'not for nursing home charges'

The Government must not be allowed raid the health budget to pay for its incompetence over nursing home charges, it was warned tonight.

Labour Party TD Liz McManus said other vital services must not suffer after Finance Minister Brian Cowen admitted there may be lower spending on different areas of the health sector after the Supreme Court decision.
