Strike threat lifted at the ESB
The threat of unofficial industrial action at the ESB has been lifted.
The Minister for Communications held separate meetings with the two men at the centre of the dispute this afternoon, the chairman Tadhg O'Donoghue and deputy chairman Joe LaCumbre.
Minister Noel Dempsey reiterated that Mr LaCumbre will remain in his position.
It was agreed that a review of the role of deputy chairman will be undertaken to clearly define its functions.
The chief executive of the Irish Stock Exchange Tom Healy will carry it out.
