Fire damages Dublin public house
Six fire brigade units battled a blaze early today at a public house in Dublin city centre.
The licensed premises, Sosume, on South Great Georges Street was closed for renovations at the time the fire broke out.
Dublin Fire Brigade confirmed there were no injuries. Six crews travelled to the scene after the blaze was reported around 2am.
It was believed the fire broke out at bins at the back of the premises and spread to the building.
The extent of the damage to the premises was still being examined.
Meanwhile, a man was recovering in hospital today after a separate fire in the Tallaght area of the city overnight.
The man, who was in his early 20s, received burns to his hands and face and was taken to Tallaght Hospital.
Four units of the Dublin Fire Brigade were alerted after a blaze broke out around 11.30pm at a house in Brookview in Tallaght.
