Atwood says SF have lost argument in bank aftermath

SDLP Policing Board member Alex Attwood claimed Gerry Adams' call for calm today was an admission from Sinn Féin that his party had lost the argument over IRA criminality.

After a meeting with Chief Constable Hugh Orde, the West Belfast Assembly member said: “They (Sinn Féin) have lost the run of themselves in recent weeks and know this issue is not going away, you know.

“They have to face up to it because people are going to face them down on it. While there may be softer words, they have harder lessons they have to learn and people will be looking at how they act.”
