The host of the BBC discussion programme Question Time came close to taking the show off air last night after a row erupted between SDLP leader Mark Durkan and Sinn Féin MP Martin McGuinness.

The row began when Mr McGuinness accused Mr Durkan of standing idly by while the Independent Monitoring Commission was established outside the terms of the Good Friday Agreement.
