Gardaí are searching for two teenage schoolgirls who have been missing from their home in Co Laois for almost two days.

Fourteen-year-old Lisa Killingbeck and 15-year-old Anna Kavanagh haven't been seen since leaving school in Portarlington on Monday afternoon.

Gardai believe they have run away from home and may be in the Castlecomer area of Kilkenny.

When last seen, they were both wearing navy school uniforms.
