Injured crewman rescued from cargo vessel off west coast

A Russian crewman has been rescued from a cargo ship off the west coast following an accident on board the vessel last night.

The man, who was knocked unconscious in the accident, was picked up by the Aran Islands lifeboat about 20 miles of Slyne Head shortly after midnight and taken to hospital in Galway.
