Ahern lays foundation stone at Adamstown
Taoiseach Bertie Ahern is due to lay the foundation stone for the Adamstown development in west Dublin today.
The €2bn project plans an entire new town with schools, parkland, community buildings and leisure amenities being constructed.
The new town, which will be 223 hectares in size, is located along the Dublin-Kildare rail line and will have its own rail station.
When completed, it should eventually have a population of 20,000 people.
