Search continues for missing fisherman

A search is continuing today off the Co Clare coast for a Spanish fisherman who fell overboard from a fishing vessel late last night.

The accident happened shortly after at 9.30pm last night and was reported to the Coast Guard within half an hour.

It is believed the boat was 120 kilometres west of Loop Head when the incident happened.

The Shannon Rescue Helicopter searched the area for hours last night alongside five other Spanish trawlers who have been searching throughout the night.
