Three-month-old baby girl killed in Cork fire

A three-month-old baby girl has died in a fire at her home in Ballincollig, Co Cork, this morning.

The blaze started in the bedroom of a house in the Rosewood estate shortly after 5am.

A woman and man escaped injury, but the baby girl died from suspected smoke inhalation.

The scene has been preserved for technical examination to determine the cause of the fire.
