New service set up to help homeless people find rented flats

The housing organisation Threshold has set up a new service to help homeless people access accommodation in the private rented sector.

Under the initiative, due to be launched today, groups working with the homeless can refer people to private-sector landlords willing to take on homeless tenants through the rent supplement scheme.
