A Clare doctor who was struck off the Register of Medical Practitioners after he was convicted of supplying a prescription-only drug by mail order succesfully appealed a three-month suspended jail sentence today.

A Clare doctor who was struck off the Register of Medical Practitioners after he was convicted of supplying a prescription-only drug by mail order succesfully appealed a three-month suspended jail sentence today.

Dr Paschal Carmody from Killaloe, Co Clare, was fined €600 and was given a three-month suspended jail sentence last year after he pleaded guilty to a number of of charges relating to the supply of medicinal products that should only be made available through a prescription.
