Gardaí name motorcycle accident victim

Gardaí have named the 38-year-old man who died as a result of a collision in Co Westmeath on Monday night as Aidan Martin of Clara Road, Sligo.

Gardaí have named the 38-year-old man who died as a result of a collision in Co Westmeath on Monday night as Aidan Martin of Clara Road, Sligo.

He received fatal injuries when the motorbike he was driving went out of control and crashed at Kilmacaugh, Athlone, at 11.15pm on January 17.

Meanwhile, gardaí in Dundalk have named the 57-year-old man killed in an accident yesterday morning as William White, of Rostrevor, Co Down.

Gardaí are appealing for any witnesses of the collision which involved two cars, at the Ballymascanlon roundabout, Dundalk.
