Met Eireann has warned of further stormy conditions across the country tomorrow, with winds of up to 80mph forecast for parts of Connacht and Ulster.

Storms last Friday and over the weekend sparked floods in some parts of the country, but forecasters said further flooding was unlikely in the coming days.

Michael McAuliffe of Met Eireann said: "There will be some rain associated with this storm too, but not in the quantities of last Friday.

"The ground is, of course, very wet. It has been very wet generally over the last few weeks, so it wouldn't take that much intense rain to cause problems, but at this stage, that doesn't look like being a major threat for tomorrow."
