HSA board appointed

The Minister for Labour Affairs Tony Killeen today announced the appointment of a new board of the Health and Safety Authority (HSA).

The new board will be chaired by Jim Lyons, and member of the outgoing board Peter McCabe will be vice-chairman. The appointments are for a term of three years.

The other members of the board are Tony Briscoe, Yvonne O’Sullivan, Fergus Whelan, Sylvester Cronin, Louise O’Donnell, Christina McEleney, Rosie Sheerin, Pat Kearney and Martin Lynch,

Ann Marie Hayes will also be appointed to the board when, as provided for under the Safety, Health and Welfare at Work Bill 2004, it is enacted by the Oireachtas.
