Supporters' dismay at Colombia Three sentence

Three republicans jailed for 17 years in Colombia have been the victims of a “mammoth miscarriage of justice”, their supporters claimed tonight.

Niall Connolly, Martin McCauley and James Monaghan had been acquitted of an IRA plot to train Marxist rebels in the region.
