Two held after €400,000 heroin raid

Two men were being questioned by gardai today after drugs with an estimated street value of €400,000 were seized in west Dublin.

The haul of heroin and a mixing agent were discovered following a planned search of a premises in the Allenton area of Tallaght.

A man in his 20s and a man in his 30s were detained during the raid last night.

The two men are currently being held at Tallaght Garda Station, where they can be questioned for up to seven days under Section 2 of the Drug Trafficking Act.
