Milan’s Linate airport suspended two guards today after a passenger passed through security checks and boarded a flight to Dublin while carrying a pistol in his backpack.

Milan’s Linate airport suspended two guards today after a passenger passed through security checks and boarded a flight to Dublin while carrying a pistol in his backpack.

The passenger reported the pistol to the captain of his Air Lingus flight as soon as he boarded the plane yesterday, saying he had forgotten he was carrying it.
