Orde warns IRA not to renege

Northern Ireland’s top police officer warned the IRA today he would halt a major security reduction if they renege on any pledge to go out of business.

With unionists and republicans tantalisingly close to a peace deal that would restore the Stormont power sharing government, Sinn Féin is pushing for troop levels to be slashed and British army bases dismantled.
