Extra health funds to be targeted at key areas - Harney

Minister for Health Mary Harney has said the extra resources provided to the health sector in today's Budget will be targeted at areas currently experiencing difficulties.

Speaking in Dublin today, Ms Harney said: "We are targeting the resources that are available to use in a much more focused way around key areas where the public have huge difficulties in the health service.
