Orde has 'significant' meeting with SF leadership
Gerry Adams shook the hand of Northern Ireland chief constable Hugh Orde in Tony Blair’s Downing Street office today, as the republican leadership and Ian Paisley edged towards a dramatic peace deal.
Sources confirmed tonight that a handshake took place at the beginning of what the Sinn Féin leader described as a useful meeting with the chief constable, in the presence of British Prime Minister Tony Blair.
