Junior Minister Tom Kitt has described the speed at which Irish people are getting used to dealing with the Government online as "phenomenal".

Speaking at the launch of the Irish e-Government Awards today, Mr Kitt said 53% of the self-employed, a total of 157,000 people, made online returns to the Revenue Commissioners this month.
