Dublin park and ride facility launched

Getting in and out of the capital this Christmas has been made easier following the launch of a new Dublin Bus initiative.

Based at a bus park and ride facility on the Swords Road / Santry, the scheme is starting on Monday 29th November 2004.

For €5 per car customers can park their cars from 7.00am until 10pm. The charge also includes the following:

Each car occupant can travel on the dedicated Dublin Bus shuttle

service from Quick Park to Parnell Square East every 15 minutes.

Unlimited travel for the day on the entire Dublin Bus network of

scheduled services.

Return to the park and ride site on the dedicated shuttle service or on the following scheduled Dublin Bus services; 16A, 33, 41, 41A, 41B and 41C.

The dedicated park and ride shuttle service will be available Monday

to Saturday from 7.00am until 10.00pm and Sundays 10.00am until 7.00pm.

Upwards of 1,500 car spaces will be available.

This initiative is being provided as part of Operation Freeflow 2004, in co-operation with the Department of Transport, Dublin Bus, Quick Park, DTO, an Garda Siochana and the Local Authorities.
