Govt to meet union officials on decentralisation

The Government is to meet trade union officials today to discuss the timetable for the decentralisation plan.

It comes amid strong indications the Finance Minister Brian Cowen is preparing to step back from the controversial commitment to move some 10,000 public and civil servants from Dublin by 2007.
