A 51-year-old Clare man has pleaded guilty but insane at the Central Criminal Court to the murder of his 82-year-old uncle.

John McInerney of Belharbour, Co Clare, today issued his guilty but insane plea to the murder of Sean Daly on April 30, 2003 at Abbey West, Belharbour, Co Clare.
