Gardaí are waiting for the results of a post-mortem to establish the cause of death of a 36-year-old man who died in hospital after suddenly falling ill at a party.

James O'Donovan of Springfield Park in Cobh, Co Cork, took ill at around 6am on Saturday.

He was rushed by ambulance to Cork University Hospital, but died two hours later.
